I'm finally fixed! It took over six weeks for the bleeding to stop. My doctor said that this is pretty unusual. Usually women stop bleeding after about two weeks. Otherwise, many women develop an infection and must have a D&C after more than two weeks pass. Somehow I avoided infection, but had to go through a long ordeal.
In the last stretch of this whole mess I started to have heavy bleeding. My doctor gave me some medicine (the same stuff they give women following pregnancy in order to contract the uterus and control bleeding). I had the worst cramping of my life, but a day or two later, it was ALL over. I'm freeeee!!!!
Now I'm focusing on getting myself entirely healthy. I think that my metabolism and hormones are still a little bit screwed up. I'm still not quite myself yet. Miller has been patient and keeping up his sense of humor. Lord knows I need that. Overall, my spirits have been lifted and my body is returning to normal. It feels good to have a more positive outlook, and piece of mind that my body made it through this process naturally (without surgery). With summer just around the corner, life is looking pretty good. Miller and I will be careful to avoid getting pregnant for at least a few months- just to make sure that my body will be entirely ready. I'm hoping for the best!
